Looking for a new summer fragrance? Pacific Rock Moss Goldfield & Banks is an oceanic type scent. It is a lighter aquatic scent with some synthetic woods thrown in to keep things from getting too sickly sweet. The opening is just lovely—a citrusy lemon is balanced by fresh marine notes and salty grasses. It calls to mind the spray off a tropical beach, as well as the mossy landscape of Western Australia's outback.
Pacific Rock Moss cologne opens with a burst of bright, citrussy lemon. Next, a salty accord comes in – it smells almost like the sea spray that must have built up on the coast where this scent was created. The freshness then fades into the background whilst waves of flowers rise up from below; geranium combines with sage for an uplifting floral blend that stays floral but doesn’t feel overly sweet or cloying. Further down we discover even more depth thanks to cedar – this is not one of those heavy woody scents; rather it’s more like sagebrush and ocean air at a campfire.
